Description
Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Eureka, CA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift – 5×8 hours (08:00–16:30)
Job Responsibilities and Required/Preferred Skills and Requirements
Provide radiation therapy treatments to adult and geriatric oncology patients in both acute care and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include treatment delivery, simulation assistance, patient positioning, safety monitoring, and education.
Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience

ARRT (T) certification required

BLS certification required
-
Experience using Epic charting system
-
Ability to perform external beam radiation treatments and support treatment planning implementation
-
Competency in patient positioning, field shaping, chart checks, radiation safety practices, and PPE protocols
-
Experience with IMRT, respiratory gating, and standard oncology treatment workflows

Ability to work with adult and geriatric oncology populations

Willingness to float within scope if needed
Preferred Skills & Experience
-
Experience with SRS, SBRT, and advanced radiation techniques
-
Familiarity with Elekta treatment units (Infinity or Synergy)

Experience with Mosaiq and C-RAD systems
-
Background in simulation of treatment sites and beam-modifying techniques

Experience supporting treatment for lymphoma, leukemia, pancreatic, kidney, and other cancer diagnoses

Strong patient education skills and ability to manage emergency oncology cases
