Registered Nurse (RN) – Psychiatric (Contract/Travel)
Location: New York, NY
Facility: Mount Sinai Beth Israel (Psych Unit – 3R)
Contract Dates: 13 week
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3 shifts/week)

Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, high-quality psychiatric nursing care using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and critical thinking skills.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families while delivering compassionate, culturally competent care.
Manage behavioral health crises using approved de-escalation techniques, including Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI/PMCS).
Ensure accurate, timely documentation in EPIC and maintain compliance with hospital, regulatory, and legal standards.
Support unit operations by prioritizing patient care, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and performing charge nurse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required
Active New York State RN License
Minimum 2 years of recent psychiatric RN experience
Minimum 2 years of RN experience overall
BLS Certification
CPI or PMCS Certification (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention – 8 hours)
EPIC experience preferred
SEL and SCR forms required for onboarding
Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

BSN required.
