Registered Nurse (RN) – EP Lab

📍 Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
🏥 Department: Heart & Vascular Center
🕒 Shift: Days | 4x10s (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
📅 Schedule: No Weekends | No Holidays

Position Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join a dynamic Heart & Vascular Center Electrophysiology (EP) Lab team. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac procedural experience, proficiency in moderate sedation, and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a high-acuity acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments in an acute cardiac care environment
• Prepare, monitor, and recover patients undergoing EP and cardiac procedures
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation safely and effectively
• Provide continuous cardiac rhythm and airway monitoring during procedures
• Assist physicians with electrophysiology and interventional cardiac procedures
• Deliver thorough patient education and discharge instructions
• Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (Cardiac/ICU strongly preferred)
• At least 1.5 years recent acute care experience (within past 2 years) in a similar size/level hospital
• Proven experience with moderate sedation medications and patient monitoring
• Experience with procedural prep and post-procedure recovery
• Current BLS certification (must maintain recertification)
• Strong airway management and cardiac monitoring skills
