🚑 Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

(Part of SUNY Upstate Medical University)

Specialty: Emergency Department (Adult ED)

Contract: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 03/06/2026
Shift: Nights – 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holidays: Some required
This is a high-acuity academic Level I trauma center environment.
🎯 Clinical ExpectationsThey are specifically looking for:
✔ Adult ED experience
✔ Pediatric patient experience
✔ Level I or Level II trauma background (preferred but highly competitive if present)
✔ Ability to function independently with minimal orientation
This is not a low-volume community ER. Candidates must be comfortable in high-acuity, fast-paced trauma settings.
✅ Hard Requirements✔ Active New York RN license
✔ BLS certification
✔ Minimum 1.5 years recent acute care ER experience (within last 2 years)
✔ Experience in hospital of equal or greater size/trauma designation
✔ Clean license history
✔ No malpractice/defendant history
✔ Pass drug screen & background
