Description

Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

📍 Location: Rochester, NY
📅 Contract Length: 13 Weeks
🕒 Shift: 3x12 D/N Rotation (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
🏥 Specialty: Labor & Delivery

Position Requirements

Must have active NY RN License in hand
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
First-time travelers accepted
Locals must reside outside 75-mile radius
Every other weekend required

Certifications (Required)

ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
BLS – Basic Life Support
NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program
EFM – Electronic Fetal Monitoring

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs using EFM
Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries
Administer medications and IV therapy per protocol
Support high-risk obstetric patients
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and newborn care
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols
