Description
📍 Job Title: Registered Nurse – Pediatric ICU (PICU)
📌 Location: 1 Childrens Cir, Syracuse, NY 13210
📆 Contract Length: 13 Weeks
⏰ Shift: Day – 3x12-Hour
🕖 Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
📅 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
🎄 Holiday Requirement: Some holidays required
🏥 Unit
Critical Care – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
🚨 Experience Requirements
• Minimum 3 years PICU experience
• Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center required
• Experience must be recent (within the past 2 years)
• Travelers must have worked in hospitals of equal or greater size/acuity
📋 Required Qualifications
• Active New York State RN License
• BLS certification
• Strong pediatric critical care assessment skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal orientation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
⭐ EPIC experience preferred
📑 Additional Requirements
• Clean license history (no suspensions or investigations)
• Must not have been named in a professional liability claim
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must pass pre-employment health clearance
• Subject to drug screening and criminal background check
🩺 Duties
• Deliver high-level pediatric critical care nursing
• Perform advanced assessments and interventions
• Provide safe, evidence-based care in a high-acuity PICU setting
