Description
Interventional Radiologic Technologist
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Location: Syracuse, NY
Shift:
-
Day shift – 4 × 10 hours
-
Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Schedule & Call:
-
Weekends & holidays: Rotational
-
Overtime: As needed based on department needs
-
On-call: 2–4 days per month
Qualifications:
-
A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent)
-
NYS license/registration required
-
Minimum 1 year of CT/MRI experience as a Radiologic Technologist
-
Must pass pre-employment health clearance
Responsibilities:
-
Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of radiologists
-
Greet patients, explain procedures, and position patients appropriately
-
Set proper exposure factors to obtain high-quality images
-
Practice radiation safety and protection to minimize patient exposure
-
Operate imaging equipment efficiently and report malfunctions promptly
-
Process images and enter data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) for documentation and billing
-
Follow department policies, procedures, and protocols

Provide radiologic exams based on referring physician and radiologist orders
