Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift – 3×12 hours (19:00 – 07:30), weekends required, floating possible

Job Responsibilities and Required and Preferred Skills and Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care and therapy for adult and geriatric patients in critical care, emergency, and acute care settings.

• Perform airway management, suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, and tracheostomy care.

• Initiate, manage, and monitor oxygen therapy and ventilator support including CPAP, BiPAP, and mechanical ventilation.

• Assist with ventilator weaning and troubleshoot ventilator alarms.

• Administer respiratory medications and aerosol therapies using appropriate delivery systems.

• Interpret arterial blood gases and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across units including Med/Surg, PCU, and critical care.

• Float between units or campuses as needed to support patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience.

• Active RRT credential.

• Valid state respiratory therapy license.

• BLS certification required.

• Experience in adult critical care and emergency care environments.

• Competency in ventilator management, airway care, and oxygen therapy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACLS and CRT certifications.
