Position: Registered Nurse – IMC / Med-Surg Tele Float
Facility: Meritus Medical Center
Location: 11116 Medical Campus Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21742

Shift: Days, 3×12-Hour (07:00–19:00)
Duration: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 hours/week

Pay Package

Hourly Breakdown:

• Total Hourly Pay Rate: $65.65/hr

• W2 (Taxable): $18.00/hr

• Stipend (Non-Taxable): $47.65/hr

• OT Rate (W2): $27.00/hr

Weekly Breakdown:

• Weekly Gross: $2,363.40

• W2 (Taxable): $648.00

• Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,715.40

Description

This RN position is for the Med/Surg Telemetry / IMC Float Pool. The traveler will float between Med/Surg and IMC units and must be comfortable caring for higher-acuity patients.

Requirements

• 2 years Telemetry experience

• 2 years IMC experience in a hospital setting

• Recent Med/Surg Tele experience required

• Recent Epic experience required (must be listed on submission)

• BLS & ACLS (AHA)

• First-time travelers not accepted

Clinical Competencies

Must be able to care for patients with:

• Acute respiratory distress

• Septic shock

• Hypertensive crisis

• Severe congestive heart failure

• Myocardial infarction

• Unstable angina

• Trauma

Ratios: 1:4–1:6

Compliance Requirements

• Flu vaccine required

• 2-step PPD required (no exceptions)

Additional Notes

• Float: Med/Surg ↔ IMC

• Local rate: $5/hr less for candidates living within 50 miles

• Do not submit without Epic and IMC experience clearly documented
