Description

Specialty: RN – PCU
Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Duration: 13 weeks
Positions: 1
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
Patient Ratio: Avg. 3 high-acuity patients
Scrubs: Navy Blue
EMR: Epic (REQUIRED)
Local Candidates: ❌ Not accepted (effective 1/11/2024 – per ineligible counties list)

🏥 Unit Overview

Progressive Critical Care Unit caring for medically delicate and surgically complex patients, including:

Respiratory failure
Sepsis
Closed head injuries
Multi-system organ dysfunction
Complex trauma
Surgical complications
Endocrine disorders

Candidates with adult PCU community ICU experience tend to succeed.

✅ Required Skills & Competencies

Epic experience – REQUIRED
ACLS – REQUIRED
Advanced hemodynamics & pressor titration
Antihypertensive, sedative & Narcan drips
Thrombo-embolytics
A-line, CVP, EVD
Ortho traction
Infection prevention protocols
Respiratory support: HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP
Oxygen-dependent patients
