Description

Title: Pediatric Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer
Location: Charleston, SC
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours (Monday–Friday, start times between 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM)

Job Responsibilities and Duties

Perform pediatric echocardiograms, including studies for complex congenital heart defects.
Acquire high-quality cardiac ultrasound images and complete diagnostic evaluations.
Prepare and document full reports in PACS systems.
Collaborate with cardiologists and clinical teams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Provide compassionate patient care for pediatric populations and families.
Maintain equipment and follow infection control and safety protocols.
Float between multiple pediatric care locations as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of pediatric echocardiography experience.
ARDMS with Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) credential OR CCI with RCCS certification (must be active at start).
BLS certification required.
Strong experience scanning pediatric patients and complex congenital heart disease cases.
Ability to independently perform and document comprehensive echo studies.
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-focused care skills.
