Description
Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) with weekday and weekend call rotation
Job Responsibilities and Duties
-
Assist physicians with peripheral and neuro interventional radiology procedures in a Level I Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Support complex neuro IR cases including stroke thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling/stenting, AVM embolization, and carotid stenting.

Assist with vascular access procedures such as PICC placement, port placement, and dialysis catheter insertion.

Perform imaging support during angiography and other image-guided interventions.

Maintain sterile technique, radiation safety, and infection control practices.

Monitor patients during procedures and document accurately in the EMR system.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiology, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, IV teams, and rapid response teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience.

ARRT (R) certification required.

ARRT (VI) certification required.
-
BLS certification required.

Active South Carolina Radiography State License required.

Strong experience in neuro interventional radiology procedures.

Proficiency in PACS systems and procedural documentation.

Experience working with adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.

Ability to participate in on-call rotation including weekends and weeknights.
