Description
Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Pediatrics
Location: Greenville, SC
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Weekend Coverage: Every Other Weekend
Floating Required
Job Responsibilities:
-
Provide comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal populations including PED floors, PICU, ER, and NICU
-
Deliver respiratory therapy services in Emergency Department, Pediatric Critical Care, and general Pediatrics settings
-
Administer respiratory medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, Mucomyst, and Xopenex
-
Set up and manage medication delivery systems including aerosol mask and trach setups, metered dose inhalers (MDI), and nebulizers (hand-held and trach collar)
-
Manage oxygen therapy modalities including bag and mask ventilation, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), and trach collar
-
Perform and assist with neonatal and pediatric respiratory procedures and equipment management

Utilize Pyxis and Omnicell medication systems
-
Document patient care in EPIC EMR (minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required)

Float to other qualified units and campuses as needed based on census
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Active State Respiratory Therapist License

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
-
BLS (Basic Life Support)
-
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
-
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
-
Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience

Recent experience in ER, Pediatric Critical Care, and Pediatrics
-
Experience working with pediatric and neonatal populations
-
Ability to float to units within scope of competency
