Title: Interventional Radiology / Cath Lab Tech
Location: Hagerstown, MD
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 4x10 Hours (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Call Required: Yes (9–13 call days in a 6-week period)
Weekend & Holiday Coverage Required

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform duties as a Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology Tech in a high-volume procedural environment
• Assist with cardiac catheterizations with and without intervention
• Support STEMI cases (8–12 per month) as part of a 4-person STEMI call team
• Assist with vascular procedures including port placement, thrombectomy, peripheral vascular interventions
• Support cardiac rhythm management procedures including temporary and permanent device implantation (ICDs, pacemakers, loop recorders), cardioversion/TEE, EP studies with ablations
• Assist with pain management procedures including radiofrequency ablation of nerve roots and steroid injections into joints and spine
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and accurate procedural monitoring*
• Perform EKG lead placement* and function as room circulator*
• Assist with left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, temporary pacemaker insertion
• Support electrophysiology studies including baseline measurements*, cardiac mapping*, conduction studies*, ablations*, cardioversion, and AICD insertion/programming
• Perform abdominal, pelvic, neurological, and vascular interventional procedures including:
  • Angioplasty
  • IVC filter placement
  • Renal artery stent placement
  • Ureteral stent placement
  • Carotid stenting
  • Thrombolysis/thrombectomy
  • TIPS procedures
  • Dialysis graft creation/revision and fistulograms/declots
  • Upper and lower extremity angiography
• Start IVs, perform peripheral/venous access, and assist with rotablader procedures and ablations*
• Operate specialized equipment including Philips and Siemens fluoroscopy suites, Philips ISVC (PACS), Philips Xper (hemodynamics), and Maquet IABP

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
• Strong, experienced Cath Lab Tech or RCIS with IR experience
• Travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Active certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • ARRT (R)
  • RCIS with IR Tech experience
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring
• Ability to take call (1730–0700 weekdays; 1730 Friday–0700 Monday on rotation)
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital while on call (no on-site accommodations provided)
• Pending state license not accepted
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (no exemptions)

• Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural area averaging 8 cases per day and approximately 280 cases per month
