Description

Title: Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4×10 hours (07:00–17:30), Monday–Friday

Job Responsibilities and All Required and Preferred Skills and Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care and procedural support within the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, Cath Lab, and holding areas

  • Assist with diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures while maintaining sterile technique and aseptic practices

  • Perform circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring duties during EP procedures

  • Prepare and operate EP-specific equipment including mapping systems, fluoroscopy, monitoring platforms, and imaging tools

  • Support control room functions, physiologic monitoring, and digital archiving of procedural data

  • Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and respond appropriately in emergency situations

  • Assist with vascular access preparation, EKG lead placement, and access site preparation

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, culturally competent, and efficient patient care

  • Float to other invasive lab areas as needed to support workflow and patient care continuity

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of electrophysiology or invasive cardiac lab experience

  • Travel experience acceptable for first-time travelers

  • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, plus RCIS and RCES credentials

  • Experience with EP procedures including:

    • Arrhythmia induction

    • Cardioversion

    • Pacemaker insertion

    • AICD insertion/programming

    • Left atrial appendage closure

    • Tilt table studies

  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique, arrhythmia recognition, and invasive lab workflow

  • Ability to work in a 1:1 patient care environment and float as needed
