Description
Title: Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4×10 hours (07:00–17:30), Monday–Friday
Job Responsibilities and All Required and Preferred Skills and Requirements
Responsibilities:
-
Provide direct patient care and procedural support within the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, Cath Lab, and holding areas
-
Assist with diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures while maintaining sterile technique and aseptic practices
-
Perform circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring duties during EP procedures
-
Prepare and operate EP-specific equipment including mapping systems, fluoroscopy, monitoring platforms, and imaging tools
-
Support control room functions, physiologic monitoring, and digital archiving of procedural data
-
Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and respond appropriately in emergency situations
-
Assist with vascular access preparation, EKG lead placement, and access site preparation
-
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, culturally competent, and efficient patient care
-
Float to other invasive lab areas as needed to support workflow and patient care continuity
Required Qualifications:
-
Minimum 2 years of electrophysiology or invasive cardiac lab experience

Travel experience acceptable for first-time travelers

Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, plus RCIS and RCES credentials

Experience with EP procedures including:
-
Arrhythmia induction
-
Cardioversion
-
Pacemaker insertion
-
AICD insertion/programming
-
Left atrial appendage closure
-
Tilt table studies
-
-
Strong knowledge of sterile technique, arrhythmia recognition, and invasive lab workflow
-
Ability to work in a 1:1 patient care environment and float as needed
