Title: Angiography Tech – Interventional Radiology
Location: Charleston, WV
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM), Monday–Friday with rotating on-call (approx. 8 days/month including 1 weekend/month); every third weekend required (5–6 weekends per contract)

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform duties within an Interventional Radiology/Angiography suite supporting vascular and neuro-interventional procedures

• Provide 1:1 patient care (Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric populations)

• Average daily census: 7–10 patients; 3 procedure rooms

• Perform accurate patient monitoring and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias

• Set up and operate procedural equipment

• Perform EKG lead placement

• Prep vascular access sites

• Function as room circulator

• Scrub and maintain sterile field

• Utilize vascular closure devices (Perclose, StarClose)

• Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards

• Assist with peripheral angiography/venography with intervention, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid stenting, neuro-interventions including acute stroke and embolization

• Maintain equipment, inventory, and stock supplies

• Utilize PACS system

• Operate Fluoroscopy (Siemens preferred) and Ultrasound (preferred)

• Float to nearby affiliated facility for 1 week as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year Interventional Radiology experience

• Previous Charge experience – Required

• ARRT (R) – Required

• West Virginia State License – Required (may submit pending; must be active prior to start)

• BLS (American Heart Association) – Required

• Experience in Interventional Radiology work setting

• Experience with Fluoroscopy

• Experience with:

  • Accurate monitoring

  • Equipment setup

  • EKG lead placement

  • Access site prep

  • Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias

  • Room circulator duties

  • Scrubbing and maintaining sterile field

  • Vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)

  • PACS

  • Equipment maintenance

  • Inventory and supply stocking

  • Sterile technique

• On-call availability with 30-minute response time

• Perm address must be greater than 100 miles from facility (75–99 miles considered case-by-case)

• Minimum 2 Manager/Charge references within past 2 years

• Clean license verification (within 2 days of submission)

• Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 – March 31) unless medically exempt

• COVID vaccine not required

Preferred Qualifications:

• ARRT (VI) – Vascular Interventional Certification

• Teaching Hospital Experience

• Community Hospital Experience

• Experience with Hybrid OR

• Special Procedures experience

• Cardiac Cath Lab procedures

• Siemens equipment experience

• Ultrasound experience
