Travel RN – Critical Care (CCU/ICU)

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses (RN) for Adult ICU/CCU units in Syracuse, NY. Nurses will be assigned to units based on clinical experience and must be comfortable working in high-acuity environments with minimal supervision.

Schedule & Requirements

• Day Shift: 3×12-hour shifts per week
• Required to work every other weekend
• Participation in some holidays required
• Set schedules only (time off requests >7 days not permitted)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to critically ill adult patients
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments in acute care settings
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage complex patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments per hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License
• BLS Certification (must be current or eligible for recertification)
• Minimum 1.5 years recent ICU/critical care experience (within last 2 years)
• Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers preferred
• Prior experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records strongly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
