Travel RN – Critical Care (CCU/ICU)
📍 Location: Syracuse, New York
🕒 Shift: Day Shift (3×12 hours)
📅 Duration: 13 Weeks
🏥 Specialty: Adult Critical Care (ICU/CCU)
Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses (RN) for Adult ICU/CCU units in Syracuse, NY. Nurses will be assigned to units based on clinical experience and must be comfortable working in high-acuity environments with minimal supervision.
Schedule & Requirements
- Day Shift: 3×12-hour shifts per week
- Required to work every other weekend
- Participation in some holidays required
- Set schedules only (time off requests >7 days not permitted)
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to critically ill adult patients
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments in acute care settings
- Utilize critical thinking skills to manage complex patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments per hospital protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems
Qualifications
- Active New York State RN License
- BLS Certification (must be current or eligible for recertification)
- Minimum 1.5 years recent ICU/critical care experience (within last 2 years)
- Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers preferred
- Prior experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
