Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Shift: 3 – 12 hour shifts, Nights 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekly Hours: 36.00
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 3 days/week
Location: Southfield, MI 48075

Job Summary:
Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, the Respiratory Therapist delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and medical gas therapies to patients. The role involves performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for patients in Intensive Care and General Practice Units while ensuring accurate documentation and effective communication with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Administer life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and medical gas therapies
• Perform invasive and non-invasive respiratory diagnostic procedures
• Provide care to patients in ICU and general practice units
• Maintain clinical competency across assigned departments and units
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff
• Accurately document all patient care activities
• Supervise and guide respiratory therapists, students, and externs as assigned
• Ensure accurate completion of patient billing information

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
• Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current Respiratory Therapist License – State of Michigan
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
