Description

Position: RN – Nurse Educator (Maternal Child Health)
Location: Brooklyn, New York
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 5 Days per Week (Day Shift)

Important Requirements:

  • Strong Labor & Delivery experience required (Minimum 2 years)

  • Candidate will support education across MCH units including:

    • Labor & Delivery (L&D)

    • NICU

    • Mother Baby Unit (MBU)

    • Pediatrics

  • Master's in Education strongly preferred

  • Assignment will NOT extend beyond the original 13 weeks

Required Education:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program

Required Certifications & Licensure:

  • Active New York State RN License

  • Primary Source Verification of RN License from NYS Department of Education (NYSED)

  • AHA BLS Certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical education and training for staff across Maternal Child Health units

  • Support education initiatives for Labor & Delivery, NICU, Postpartum, and Pediatrics

  • Assist with staff competency development, training programs, and clinical guidance

  • Ensure evidence-based practices and patient safety standards are followed

Additional Notes:

  • Candidate must have strong clinical L&D background to support multiple MCH departments

  • Education and training role supporting nursing staff and clinical teams

  • No contract extension available beyond 13 weeks
