Job Description
Respiratory Therapist
Shift: Alternating 3 or 4 x 12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Required Certifications:
- BLS
- RRT
Experience Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- First-time travelers accepted (experienced travelers preferred as there are no other RRTs on the unit)
Schedule Requirements:
- Every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per contract)
- Potential floating required to the Medical Center Unit
- Self-scheduling available
- Locals accepted at a lower rate (within a 50-mile radius)
- RTO restriction: Maximum 2 requests per contract
Patient Population / Unit Details
Candidates will work with a wide variety of respiratory diagnoses, including but not limited to:
- Pulmonary Fibrosis
- COVID-19
- Influenza
- Rhinovirus
- Cystic Fibrosis
- COPD
- Respiratory Failure
Special Procedures
- Bronchoscopy
- Ventilator weaning
- Tracheostomy suctioning and care
- Thoracentesis
Special Equipment
- Airvo
- Servo-u ventilators
- Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilator (IPV)
- Standard ventilators
