Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II
Location: Grand Blanc, MI 48439
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Shift: 5x8-Hour Day Shifts

Shift Timing:
6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 4 days per week with one weekday off

On-Call Requirement:

• 1 weekend per month (Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 6:30 AM)
• 4 weeknight calls per month (5:00 PM – 6:30 AM next day)

Job Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II is responsible for assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The role requires strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and ECG interpretation, along with the ability to support physicians during procedures and ensure patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to emergencies using ACLS protocols
• Interpret ECG waveforms, including arrhythmias and myocardial infarction changes
• Identify coronary anatomy and cardiac pressure waveforms
• Perform hemodynamic calculations and document procedure data
• Set up and maintain sterile fields and required equipment
• Assist with advanced procedures including PTCA, atherectomy, and device-based interventions
• Monitor lab values and report abnormalities to physicians
• Perform cardiac outputs, oxygen saturation, and ACT measurements
• Support electrophysiology procedures, pacemaker implants, and ablations
• Train and assist new staff and participate in departmental projects

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of cardiac medications and pharmacology
• Ability to work in a sterile environment for extended periods
• Ability to wear lead aprons and assist with patient movement
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Flexible, self-directed, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health program (Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or related field)

Certifications Required:

• RCIS or RCES preferred
• ARRT (CI or VI) accepted with cath lab experience
• BLS required
• ACLS required (or within 6 months of hire)

Experience Required:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a Cath/EP Lab
• Must be able to scrub for cardiac, peripheral vascular, structural heart, and EP procedures
• Experience with Merge Hemo system preferred

Additional Information:

• Candidates must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Strong scrub experience is required
