Job Title: Registered Nurse – Observation Unit
Location: Kingman, AZ
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Unit: Observation Unit

Role Overview:

Seeking an experienced RN for the Observation Unit at a busy acute care facility in Kingman, AZ. This unit primarily cares for adult and geriatric Medical-Surgical patients requiring observation and telemetry monitoring. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and floating to Med/Surg units as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg acute care experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Will accept MS nurses with required Observation/Telemetry skills
• BLS certification required
• Experience with:
  • Cardiac monitoring & dysrhythmia interpretation
  • IV therapy and peripheral line management
  • Heparin protocols
  • Oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management
  • Rapid response/code team procedures
• Charting experience preferred: Meditech
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals accepted at same rate

Schedule & Unit Details:

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Self-scheduling unit
• Patient Ratio: 1:5–1:6
• Float required to other Med/Surg units if needed
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
