Job Title: CVOR Registered Nurse

Location: Amarillo, TX
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Call
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required
• Active RN License (Texas or compact) – Required
• CVOR Experience – Minimum 3 years required
• OR nurses with 1 year of both scrub and circulate experience may be considered
• Cerner EMR experience – Required
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Required)
  • ACLS (Required)
  • PALS (Required)
• BSN – Highly preferred

  Additional Requirements:

• Candidate must reside 100 miles away from the facility (travel requirement)
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility policies and standards
• Perform scrub and/or circulate duties during cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Support surgeons during complex cases including cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
• Monitor patients throughout pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
• Maintain sterile field and ensure compliance with OR protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotation as required

• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
• Valve Replacement
• Carotid Endarterectomy
• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Repair
• Other cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
