Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Location: West Bloomfield, MI 48322
Start Date: 04/28/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM) | 40 Hours per Week

Job Summary

The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care while coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns. This role involves utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, as well as providing guidance and education to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Labor & Delivery unit
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and newborn care
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Document patient care accurately and timely
Identify and address variances in patient care and implement corrective actions

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
Postpartum experience is required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Active Michigan RN license

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Candidates without these certifications will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
