Description
📍 Job Title: Registered Nurse – PACU
đź“Ś Location: 4900 Broad Rd, Syracuse, NY 13215
📆 Contract Length: 13 Weeks
⏰ Shift: Day – 3x12 Hours
🕖 Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
🏥 Unit Details
• Unit: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Recovery Room
• Shift Structure: 6 shifts per 2 weeks (mix of 07:00–19:30 & 11:00–23:30)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: Not required
• Charting System: Epic (Preferred)
đź“‹ Experience Requirements
• Minimum 2 years recent PACU experience (within last 2 years)
• Must have Inpatient PACU Critical Care experience
• Experience in similar or higher acuity hospital required
đź“ś Required Certifications & Licenses
• Current New York RN License
• BLS Certification
🧠Candidate Expectations
• Strong post-operative patient assessment skills
• Ability to manage pre/post recovery patients independently
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Must meet compliance requirements (background check, drug screening, health clearance)
• Clean license history (no suspensions/investigations)
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
⚠️ Important Notes
• Must be flexible with shift timing (early & late start)
• No call required
• EPIC experience preferred
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced recovery setting
• Travelers must have experience in similar or larger facilities
