Job Title: RN – Labor & Delivery
Location: West Bloomfield, MI 48322
Start Date: 04/28/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Hours: 40 Hours per Week

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care while ensuring effective coordination within the healthcare team. The RN utilizes the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education for patients and their families. This role also involves effective communication of patient information and active participation in resolving variances from patient care goals.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the Labor & Delivery unit
Develop and implement individualized care plans
Monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress
Educate patients and families on care plans and procedures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Identify and resolve variances in patient care plans

Required Skills & Experience

Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective care plans
Ability to perform a wide range of professional nursing duties
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience (mandatory)
Postpartum experience required

Education

Required: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications & Licensure

Active RN license issued by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (required)
Candidates without these certifications will not be considered
