Description
Job Title: Surgical Technician CVOR – Certified
Location: Reno, NV 89511
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 4x10-Hour Days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Guaranteed Hours: Based on facility requirements
Job Description:
We are seeking a Certified CVOR Surgical Technician for a 13-week contract in Reno, NV. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cardiovascular operating room procedures and be skilled in both first and second scrub roles.
Schedule & On-Call:
- Day shifts: 4x10-hour shifts (Monday–Friday, schedule determined upon arrival)
- Shift time: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-call: 11 shifts per month (including nights and weekends)
Requirements:
- Must live at least 100 miles from the facility
- NBSTSA certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience (first and second scrub)
- Travel experience required
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs
- Maintain sterile field and ensure proper surgical protocols
- Perform instrument, sponge, and sharps counts with RN staff
- Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and room turnover
- Ensure proper cleanup and preparation for the next case
- Follow safety, confidentiality, and patient care standards
