Job Title: Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (000439)
Location: Elmhurst, NY
Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Schedule: 5x8
Weekly Hours: 40
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Description:
Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols. Ensure proper patient positioning, radiation safety practices, and high-quality imaging for diagnostic interpretation.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Perform general radiographic imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Operate radiographic and imaging equipment safely and accurately.
- Apply radiation safety principles and ALARA standards.
- Verify patient identity and procedure accuracy prior to imaging.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with departmental protocols.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree required.
- Minimum 1 year of General Radiographer experience required.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and registration required.
- Valid New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Radiologic Technologist license required.
