Description

Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II
Location: Grand Blanc, MI 48439

Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 5x8-Hour Day/Night Shifts
Hours: 40 hours per week
Guaranteed Hours: Based on facility requirements

Shift Hours:
They will work 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 4 days during the week, and take approximately 4 weeknight and 1 weekend on-call shift per month.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II to support cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. The candidate will assist physicians during procedures, monitor patients, and ensure proper setup and operation of equipment. The role also involves recognizing ECG changes, assisting in emergency situations, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with cardiac catheterization and EP lab procedures
  • Monitor patients and interpret ECG waveforms
  • Recognize and respond to arrhythmias and cardiac emergencies
  • Prepare and maintain sterile field and equipment
  • Document procedures and patient data accurately
  • Support physicians during interventions
  • Assist with staff training and departmental activities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of Cath Lab or EP Lab experience
  • Ability to scrub for heart cath, vascular, structural heart, and EP procedures
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and medications
  • Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and documentation systems (Merge Hemo preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Certifications/Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Allied Health program
  • RCIS, RCES, or ARRT (CI/VI) preferred
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required (or within 6 months of hire)

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a sterile environment
  • Ability to wear lead apron and assist with patient handling
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
