Travel RN – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Watertown, NY
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (05/18/2026 – 08/19/2026)
Shift: 8-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
Schedule Notes: Weekends, holidays & on-call required
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The RN will be responsible for maintaining sterile technique, assisting in surgical procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative process.
Key Requirements
- Active New York RN License (or eligibility)
- BLS required | ACLS preferred
- Minimum 1 year Med/Surg experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of OR procedures, instrumentation, and aseptic techniques
- Ability to interpret lethal dysrhythmias
- Must pass required OR competency exam
Core Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgery
- Maintain sterile field and ensure compliance with surgical protocols
- Assist surgeons with procedures and instrumentation
- Monitor patient status and respond to emergencies
- Collaborate with surgical team for optimal outcomes
