Description

Registered Nurse – ICU
Facility: Cabell Huntington Hospital
Location: 1340 Hal Greer Blvd, Huntington, WV 25701
Start Date: 05/25/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (07:00 PM – 07:00 AM)
Schedule: 3x12-Hour

Note: Adult/Geriatric ICU | 1:2 ratio | Critical care experience required | Floating & on-call required

Position Overview:
The ICU RN provides comprehensive critical care to adult and geriatric patients, managing complex conditions and utilizing advanced life-support interventions in a high-acuity setting.

Job Duties:

Provide direct patient care, assessments, and documentation
Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and respiratory support
Administer and titrate drips, sedation, and emergency medications
Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias
Care for central lines, arterial lines, and IV therapy
Assist in emergency and rapid response situations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Requirements:

Licensure: Active RN License (WV or Compact State)

Experience:

Minimum 2 years ICU/critical care experience required
Travel experience preferred

Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS – Required
PALS, TNCC – Preferred

Other Requirements:

Cerner experience highly preferred
Floating required to like units
On-call required
Weekend coverage as scheduled
