Description

Job Title: RN – Oncology
Location: Burlington, VT
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Setting: Oncology / Medical Surgical

Role Overview:
Seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a high-acuity oncology unit at a large teaching hospital. Candidates should have strong oncology and med/surg experience, be comfortable caring for cancer patients with complex medical needs, and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements:

  • Oncology and/or Med/Surg RN experience required
  • Prior travel experience required
  • EPIC experience within the last 2 years required
  • Experience in a large teaching facility preferred
  • Chemo-certified candidates preferred
  • Must have complete work history with all employment gaps explained

Certifications Required:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification preferred

Clinical Skills:

  • Blood product administration
  • IV antibiotics & anticoagulant infusions
  • Chemotherapy administration/support
  • Central line care & maintenance
  • IV starts
  • Telemetry monitoring (no monitor techs)
  • Tube feeding management
  • Oncology symptom management

Schedule & Work Expectations:

  • 3x12 Night shifts
  • No block scheduling allowed
  • Monday–Sunday scheduling rotation
  • Bi-weekly orientation on Mondays

Additional Information:

  • COVID vaccine required (no exemptions)
  • Reliable transportation required; public transportation is limited
  • Local rates adjusted based on mileage from facility
  • Assignment length: 13–16 weeks
