Description
- Charting system: Epic
- Assess, monitor, and care for patients with acute or complex conditions.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, oxygen levels, and neurological status.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as ordered.
- Manage patients on cardiac telemetry and other monitoring equipment.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately. Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary team.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
* Minimum 2 years experience required. First time travelers -- OK!
*ACLS, BLS required.
*Cardiac Tele experience required!
*Focus on the cardiac patient (Congestive Heart Failure, rule-out myocardial infarction, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Arrythmias)
*Secondary focus on respiratory problems (ex. COPD, pneumonia)
*Patient Diagnoses: Heart Failure, Respiratory Failure, NSTEMI, COPD, Pneumonia
