Description
Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Eureka, CA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 06/01/2026
Shift: Days | 5x8 (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Setting: Hospital – Radiology/Cardiology
Role Overview:
Seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Tech to join a busy hospital-based imaging department. The ideal candidate will be skilled in a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, patient care, and safe handling of radioactive materials in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience
- ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB required
- CNMT certification required
- Epic experience preferred
- Strong IV skills and radiation safety knowledge
Clinical Skills Required:
- Bone scans (3 Phase, Limited, Whole Body)
- Myocardial stress/rest studies
- Gastric Emptying studies
- HIDA scans
- PET scans
- Lung ventilation/perfusion scans
- Thyroid studies
- Safe storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
Equipment Experience Preferred:
- Client
- Siemens
Schedule & Work Expectations:
- 5x8 Day shifts
- Call required (manager to discuss details)
- Floating required to outpatient department nearby
- One RTO request permitted
Facility Highlights:
- Acute care hospital setting
- Collaborative interdisciplinary support teams
- 40-hour orientation provided
- COVID vaccine not required
