🩺 Registered Nurse – PCU / MS Tele
📍 Potsdam 13676
⏳ 13 Weeks Contract (Extension Possible)
🚀 Start: 06/08/2026

Shift: Night – 4x12 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to sister units
• First-time travelers accepted
• No locals accepted (must live 50 miles away)

🏥 Unit Details:

• Mixed Acuity PCU / MS Tele / Medical Surgical Unit
• Patient Ratio:
• Days: 1:3–5
• Nights: 1:3–6

• Patient Population:
• PCU and MS/Tele patients
• Surgical pre/post-op
• ENT, trauma, ortho, and general surgery patients
• Overflow medical diagnoses
• Rare pediatric patients (only assigned if experienced)

• Sister Units: West 2, West 3, Observation Unit

📋 Requirements:

• Active New York RN License
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Certifications ( required )
• Minimum 1 year experience required
• PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years required
• EPIC charting experience required

⭐ Preferred:

• PALS and TCAR certifications
• Strong telemetry and stepdown experience

🩺 Responsibilities:

• Provide care for PCU, MS/Tele, and post-surgical patients
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring

• Manage insulin drips, heparin protocols, and cardiac drips
• Perform IV therapy, blood administration, and PICC/central line care

• Manage respiratory support including CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy care
• Provide wound care, chest tube care, and post-operative monitoring

• Care for neuro, trauma, orthopedic, renal, and cardiac patients
• Maintain isolation precautions and perform frequent patient assessments

• Float to sister units as needed within skillset
• Maintain accurate EPIC documentation using SBAR communication
