Job Title: Echo Technician – Contract
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11012
Duration : 13 weeks
Job Category: Direct Patient Care – Clinical Allied – Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Echo Technician to perform high-quality echocardiographic procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The Echocardiographer will be responsible for performing and analyzing M-mode, 2D, Doppler, color Doppler, contrast, and stress echocardiograms for adult and geriatric patients while ensuring excellent patient care and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform echocardiograms including M-mode, 2D, pulse wave Doppler, continuous wave Doppler, color Doppler, contrast, and stress echo studies
• Complete echo worksheets, measurements, and calculations accurately and in a timely manner
• Prepare and educate patients regarding procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Assist Cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and chart all completed exams appropriately
• Operate, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment and exam rooms
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked and organized with necessary supplies
• Support training and guidance for students and fellows when required
• Participate in continuing education activities to maintain registry status and stay current with evolving technology and practices
Required Qualifications:
• Current Echo Registry status required
• Minimum 3 years of Echo Technician experience required
• Strong knowledge of echocardiography procedures, equipment operation, and cardiac imaging protocols
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work effectively with adult and geriatric patient populations
Education Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor of Science degree preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds routinely throughout the shift
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and assist with patient transfers as needed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and visual acuity required for safe patient care and accurate documentation
