Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR Circulator) for a travel assignment in Eagle Pass, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong perioperative nursing experience and be comfortable managing circulating responsibilities in a fast-paced surgical environment. This role requires excellent communication, sterile technique knowledge, and the ability to coordinate patient care throughout the intraoperative process.

Schedule & Call Requirements

• Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Monday – Friday schedule
• On-call:
  • 1–2 weekdays per week
  • 2 weekends per month

Responsibilities

• Perform circulating duties during surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms prior to procedures
• Ensure surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies are functional and available
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff
• Monitor patient safety throughout the perioperative process
• Develop and implement intraoperative patient care plans
• Serve as a communication liaison between patients, families, and surgical teams

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• Active RN license in state of practice
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Strong circulating experience required
• Candidate must live at least 100 miles from facility
