Description
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) | WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital
Location: Chambersburg, Pennsylvania
Facility: WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital
Start Date: June 22, 2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 5x8 hrs (10:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Call: Required (30-minute response time)
EMR: Epic (Required)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- Epic charting experience required
- Must be comfortable taking call, weekends, holidays, and floating as needed
- COVID patient care possible
Main OR Cases
- General Surgery (Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Hernia Repair, Colon Resection)
- Orthopedics (Fracture Repairs, Arthroscopy, Joint Replacements)
- Gynecology (D&C, Laparoscopic GYN Procedures)
- Urology (Cystoscopy, TURP, Circumcision)
- ENT (Tonsillectomy, Tracheostomy)
- Trauma Cases
- Robotics (Da Vinci experience preferred)
Preferred Skills
- Neuro procedures (Craniotomy, Spinal Fusions, Laminectomy)
- Vascular procedures
- Plastic surgery cases
- Thoracic surgery cases
- Robotics experience
Unit Information
- 10 Operating Rooms
- Patient Population: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Support Staff: Pharmacy, Radiology, Phlebotomy, Rapid Response Team, Unit Secretary
