Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician (CST) for a travel assignment in Eagle Pass, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong operating room experience and be comfortable assisting in a fast-paced surgical environment. This role involves preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile technique, assisting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring surgical instruments and supplies are available and properly sterilized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize operating rooms for scheduled surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons during operative procedures by passing instruments and supplies
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques at all times
• Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Assemble scheduled and emergency surgical case carts
• Ensure all surgical supplies and equipment are functional and available
• Collaborate with surgical team members to support efficient patient care
• Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols

Schedule & Call Requirements

• Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Monday – Friday
• On-call required:
  • 2–3 weekdays per week
  • Every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• NBSTSA Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• BLS Certification required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Candidate must live at least 100 miles from facility
