Description

Position: ICU RN (Cardiac Critical Care Unit)
Location: Pinehurst, NC (FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Starting 06/15/2026)
Shift: Nights, 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 hrs/week)

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience
Cardiac ICU / critical care experience required
Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
Experience with ventilated patients and critical care drips
Epic EMR experience required
First-time travelers accepted

Education

Graduate of an accredited RN program

Certifications & Licensure

Active North Carolina RN License (or pending accepted)
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Additional Requirements

Must not reside in Moore County
Every other weekend required (6–9 shifts per contract)
Float required
Only 1 RTO request allowed (must be included at submission)
Cannot accommodate holiday RTO
Modules required pre-start (non-billable)
Facility conducts additional drug screening upon arrival

Role Responsibilities

Provide care for critically ill cardiac patients (STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, A-Fib, post-arrest, sepsis)
Manage advanced cardiac equipment including IABP and Impella
Monitor and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips
Perform arterial line and central line management
Care for ventilated patients and manage respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC)
Administer blood products and IV therapies
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
