Description

Title: Clinical Dietitian – Bariatric Outpatient Clinic

Location: St. Joseph, Missouri
Facility: Mosaic Life Care
Schedule: Flexible – 5x8s, 4x8s, or 4x10s (Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Friday)

Position Overview

Join a busy Bariatric Outpatient Clinic providing nutritional counseling and education to adult patients undergoing weight-loss and related surgical procedures. This role works closely with bariatric surgeons and advanced practice providers to support patients throughout their weight management journey.

Schedule & Work Environment

Flexible scheduling options:
- 5x8-hour shifts
- 4x8-hour shifts
- 4x10-hour shifts
Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Friday schedules available
No weekends
No call
No holidays
Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Patient Population

Adult patients
Average Daily Census: 30
Average Visits Per Day: 25
Ratio: 1:4
6 clinic rooms

Clinical Responsibilities

Bariatric surgery consultations and nutrition assessments
Patient education for:
- Gastric Bypass procedures
- Gastric Sleeve procedures
- Lap Band removals
- Bariatric-related Gallbladder surgeries
Support patients enrolled in medically managed weight-loss programs
Collaborate with APRNs and multidisciplinary care teams

Requirements

Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of Clinical Dietitian experience
First-time travelers accepted
Pending license accepted; must be active prior to start date
