Registered Nurse – ICU / PCU Float
Facility: Bristol Regional Medical Center
Location: Bristol, TN 37620
Start Date: 06/14/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 3x12 Hours (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

Position Overview
Bristol Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse with critical care experience to join its ICU team. This position requires flexibility, as nurses are expected to float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical units as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care skills, experience managing complex patient populations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care for critically ill adult patients.
Monitor, assess, and manage patients requiring intensive nursing care.
Administer medications, blood products, and continuous IV infusions.
Manage ventilated patients and advanced respiratory support therapies.
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergency situations.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Float to PCU and Medical-Surgical units as required by staffing needs.

Requirements:

Active TN State or compact state RN License.
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience.
Epic experience.

NIHSS

Unit: PCU/Stepdown with ICU Coverage
Beds: 38
Patient Population: Adults
ICU Ratios: 1:2
PCU Ratios: Up to 1:5
Medical-Surgical Ratios: Up to 1:7

Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule period

Note:
Nurses are expected to float

Medical-Surgical Units: Ratio 1:7
