Description

Job Title: PCU/IMU Float Pool RN
Location: San Diego, CA (La Jolla, Hillcrest & La Mesa Locations)
Start Date: 06/15/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Variable

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years PCU experience
Chemo Certification required
ACLS & NIHSS required
Experience with IV starts, telemetry, phlebotomy & A-line management
Must be comfortable floating to all PCU units and Med Surg units as needed
Must be willing to work across multiple facility locations
Experience with Epic & Pyxis

Preferred:

Oncology, Neuro, Cardiac, Surgical, and General Medicine PCU experience
First-time travelers accepted

Notes:

Float pool includes Thornton, Jacobs, Hillcrest, and East Campus facilities
May float to EDIP (Emergency Department Inpatient Overflow)
Ratios: IMU 1:3 | Tele 1:4 | Med Surg 1:5
Schedule provided 2 weeks in advance; no self-scheduling or block scheduling
Facility assignment communicated approximately 2 hours before shift start
