Description
Job Title: PCU/IMU Float Pool RN
Location: San Diego, CA (La Jolla, Hillcrest & La Mesa Locations)
Start Date: 06/15/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Variable
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years PCU experience
- Chemo Certification required
- ACLS & NIHSS required
- Experience with IV starts, telemetry, phlebotomy & A-line management
- Must be comfortable floating to all PCU units and Med Surg units as needed
- Must be willing to work across multiple facility locations
- Experience with Epic & Pyxis
Preferred:
- Oncology, Neuro, Cardiac, Surgical, and General Medicine PCU experience
- First-time travelers accepted
Notes:
- Float pool includes Thornton, Jacobs, Hillcrest, and East Campus facilities
- May float to EDIP (Emergency Department Inpatient Overflow)
- Ratios: IMU 1:3 | Tele 1:4 | Med Surg 1:5
- Schedule provided 2 weeks in advance; no self-scheduling or block scheduling
- Facility assignment communicated approximately 2 hours before shift start
