Description
Job Title: Registered Dietitian
Location: Bronx, NY 10467
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (5x7-Hour Days)
Hours: 35 Hours per Week
Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on Facility Requirements
Job Summary:
The Registered Dietitian will assess patients' nutritional needs, provide nutrition education, monitor food/drug interactions, and collaborate with physicians regarding appropriate diet modifications.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct nutrition screenings and assessments
• Develop and implement nutrition care plans
• Review laboratory, physical, and social data related to nutrition care
• Educate patients and families on dietary needs and food/drug interactions
• Document nutrition plans and patient understanding
• Modify patient menus as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient Dietitian experience required
• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or related field
• Registered Dietitian (RD) certification through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Graduate of an accredited college/university
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 years of experience
• Master's Degree
• AHA BLS Certification
• CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist)
• CNSC (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician)
Additional Information:
• Inpatient experience required
• Weekends and holidays required (typically 1–2 weekends per month)
• Interviews conducted via Webex and/or in person
