Description
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Assignment
Location: Bradenton, FL 34208
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3x12-Hour Days
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on Facility Requirements
Distance Requirement: Candidate must live at least 100 miles from the facility.
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
- CRT candidates will not be considered
- Active Respiratory Therapist License required
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
- NICU and Adult Care experience required
- Drager Ventilator experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care as prescribed by the physician. Responsibilities include diagnostic evaluation, patient assessment, treatment, education, rehabilitation, and management of patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and cardiopulmonary testing
- Obtain and analyze physiological specimens
- Interpret physiologic data and test results
- Administer respiratory therapies and treatments
- Manage mechanical ventilation and artificial airways
- Monitor and administer medical gases
- Provide bronchopulmonary hygiene and airway clearance therapies
- Administer respiratory-related pharmacological agents
- Support cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs
- Provide hemodynamic and cardiovascular support as needed
- Deliver care across multiple patient populations, including NICU and Adult Care
