 🩺 Registered Nurse – CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)

⏳ 13 Weeks Contract (Extension Possible)
🚀 Start: 07/13/2026

Shift: 3x12 Hour Shifts – Days or Nights (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)

• Weekday schedule with some weekends required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period

• Dayshift: Saturday/Sunday
• Nightshift: Friday/Saturday
  • No call required
  • Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
  • Unit will not rotate travelers more than once every 4 weeks
  • EPIC documentation system utilized

🏥 Unit Details:

• Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:1–2

📋 Requirements:

• Active RN License
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• EPIC experience required

⭐ Preferred:

• Previous travel nursing experience

🩺 Required Skills:

• Cardiovascular Intensive Care nursing experience
• IV starts and IV management
• Telemetry monitoring
• Ventilator management
• Swan-Ganz catheter monitoring
• Conscious sedation administration and monitoring
• Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management
• Pulmonary artery (PA) line management

• Advanced patient assessment and critical care monitoring
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Multidisciplinary patient care coordination

🩺 Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill cardiovascular patients
• Monitor and assess complex patient conditions

• Perform IV starts and maintain vascular access
• Manage telemetry monitoring and respond to rhythm changes

• Care for patients requiring ventilatory support, PA lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and balloon pumps
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation as appropriate

• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

• Float to equivalent or lower acuity units as needed
• Deliver safe, high-quality patient-centered critical care
