Title: Surgical Technician
Location: Jackson, MI

Shift Details

• 3x12 Hour Day Shifts
• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Call Schedule: Once per week and every 6th weekend

Contract Length

• 13-week contract with potential extension

Job Summary

Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgical Team members, responsible for handling surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures. Ensures understanding of assigned surgical procedures and anticipates the needs of the surgical team. Provides service support related to patient preparation, transport, building services, and assists the surgical care team with patient safety and comfort needs. Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of strong recent Surgical Technician experience required
• Previous travel experience required

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology program preferred (not required)

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Current CST certification required
• BLS certification through AHA required

Additional Requirements

• Must be experienced in handling surgical instruments, supplies, and sterile field procedures
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced surgical environments
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required
