Shift: Day 3x12 | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Position Overview:
Mount Sinai West is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for its Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective treatment.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to Med Surg/Telemetry patients.

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

Monitor telemetry patients and recognize changes in patient condition.

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC.
-
Participate in bedside shift reports, purposeful hourly rounding, and patient safety initiatives.

Delegate tasks appropriately and provide guidance to support staff.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Perform charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

Active New York State RN License
-
BLS
-
ACLS
-
Minimum 2 years of Telemetry and Critical Care experience

Telemetry monitoring experience
-
Ventilator experience
-
EPIC EMR experience
-
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Associate Degree in Nursing accepted with relevant experience and/or active enrollment in a BSN program.
