🩺 Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Tele (Medical-Surgical/Telemetry)
📍 Columbus, OH 43205
⏳ 13 Weeks Contract (Extension Possible)
🚀 Start: 07/27/2026

Shift: Night – 3x12 Hour Shifts (36 Hours Weekly)

• T9 Nights – Med Surg/Telemetry Unit
• Weekdays with some weekends required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• No call required
• EPIC documentation system utilized

🏥 Unit Details:

• East Tower 9 – 27 Beds
• Orthopedic Surgery, Musculoskeletal Infections & Orthopedic Trauma Unit
• Estimated Patient Ratio: 1:4–5

📋 Requirements:

• Active RN License
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification preferred
• EPIC experience required

⭐ Preferred:

• Previous travel nursing experience
• ACLS Certification

🩺 Required Skills:

• Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience
• IV starts and IV management
• Intermediate care experience

• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Telemetry monitoring

• Rapid Response/Code Team utilization
• Isolation precautions and PPE compliance

• Nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Peripheral IV line care and management
• Phlebotomy and specimen collection

• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Multidisciplinary patient care coordination

🩺 Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients
• Monitor and assess orthopedic surgery, orthopedic trauma, and musculoskeletal infection patients

• Utilize telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias
• Perform IV starts and maintain peripheral vascular access

• Assist with respiratory support using nasal cannula and non-invasive airway devices as appropriate
• Follow isolation precautions and infection prevention protocols

• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians, Rapid Response teams, and interdisciplinary care providers

• Float within equivalent or lower-acuity units as required
• Deliver safe, high-quality patient-centered care
