🩺 Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Shift: Night Shift

🏥 Unit Details:

• Labor & Delivery / Mother-Baby Unit
• 16 Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) Rooms
• Dedicated C-Section Suite and PACU located within the L&D Unit
• 4-Bed Special Care Nursery

📋 Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN License required
• Labor & Delivery experience required
• Mother/Baby experience required
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• NRP Certification required

⭐ Preferred:

• Experience in Family Centered Care
• Strong maternal-newborn nursing background

🩺 Required Skills:

• Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Mother/Baby nursing care
• Fetal heart rate monitoring and interpretation

• Labor induction and obstetrical patient management
• Circulating for Cesarean sections

• Postpartum and newborn assessment
• Neonatal resuscitation

• Patient education and family-centered care
• Multidisciplinary patient care coordination

🩺 Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery

• Assist with vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections
• Provide postpartum recovery and newborn care

• Educate patients and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate patient documentation

• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatric providers, lactation consultants, case management, and interdisciplinary care teams

• Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based maternal and newborn care
